Tine Kindermann’s sculptural work juxtaposes the seemingly innocent allure of miniature with the darker side of both fairy tales and history. All sculptural work is small scale. Dioramas and peephole installations are created using found objects and built from found boxes and crates. Figurines are crafted in Sculpey and painted with acrylic paint.
The series “Hummel Midrash” is the artist’s interpretation of collectibles first introduced in the Nazi era, fused with actual politics of the time. All work is for sale.
