Tine Kindermann's art deals with the allure of miniature, juxtaposing an idyllic and established format (such as dollhouses, dolls or collectible figurines) with the harsher realities of the human condition. Her peephole installations, built from weathered crates and drawers found on New York's streets, peopled with small figurines sculpted by the artist, add a seductive layer of voyeurism, often evoking childhood memories.
